"How do I start sharing my faith with my friends who don't believe in Jesus?"

BA110

God brought me out of a dark and lonely place into the light and filled me with His love in the midst of my brokenness.  After coming to faith 29 years ago, God has used my story to help reach the lost and hurting in different ways. It is my heart's desire to walk alongside, inspire, train and empower students, leaders, churches, and other people to reach youth, young adults and others in their communities with the life changing message of Jesus Christ. I have been married for 27 years and we have two grown children and three grandbabies. We have a few additional children God has brought into our lives over the years.

I don’t think I want to go to Post-Secondary Education, what should I do?”

BA208

Madi moved to Hamilton in January 2022 and moved into the Act Five house a few months later. As she became embedded in the rhythms of the community, she began to be formed herself which has led to a desire to walk alongside others in the Act Five community and discover formation that leads to depth, creativity, and becoming more whole. She has worked in both local and global community development, and has consistently been part of a variety of student ministries, which includes walking with students in discovering more of who they are and what their next step might be.

“Who makes God’s Fatherhood real to us?”

BA306

I am a father of 3 amazing kids. My daughter Haya who’s 4, my son Henry who is 2 and my youngest daughter Harmony who is 4 months! I am a husband to my incredible wife Kristann of 8 years! Most importantly I am a child of God! I’ve had a privilege to know the Lord my whole life but it’s been the last year specifically Jesus has invited me into a deeper Union with Him where he’s been revealing His heart to me and who I am to Him. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit have been revealing to me their true nature and their desire to be fully known ! I have a passion to share many things He’s placed on my heart especially for the next generation to come! The Lord is so good and Holy Spirit reveals to us all things! I’m honoured to share with all of you and I’m excited for the Holy Spirit to reveal identity to you as this is so key for such a time as this!

We are the light of the world designed to light it up wherever we go! Thank you for the opportunity to pour into you! Praise be to the Lord Yahweh!

BA102

Teaser For Her Message:

Most people around us in Canada today think Christians are crazy for believing there is any truth in the Bible at all. Fewer still think what is in it is actually GOOD news. So, let's be real -- is it? Join this session if you've ever asked this question or if you ever find yourself in places where the people around you do!

“I have a hard time saying no to peer pressure - practical ways to say no?”

BA304

Hey! I’m Mark - originally from Northern Ireland and now living in Oakville, Ontario, where I serve as the youth pastor at the Salvation Army Church. Moving to Canada has been a wild and beautiful journey, and it’s given me an even deeper passion for helping young people figure out who they are, what they believe, and how to follow Jesus in a way that’s real, honest, and rooted in community. I love creating space for students to wrestle with faith, ask hard questions, and discover their purpose - whether that’s through deep conversations, late-night campfires, or leading youth nights that feel more like family than programs. I believe Jesus meets us in the real stuff of life- and that church should be a place where we can show up fully ourselves. When I’m not working with students, you’ll probably find me sipping a flat white at a local cafe, snapping photos, or dreaming up brand and web design ideas (I also run a design studio called 55 online). I’m also counting down the days until June, when I get to marry the love of my life! I am so excited to be part of AOYC 2025 and can’t wait to see what God does through this weekend.

“What is the big deal about sex if it’s everywhere?”

BA201

Tom was born and raised in Perth County, Ontario and attended Stratford CRC for most of his life. God used his family and his church to teach him about the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ. By God’s grace that message would remain with him and he puts his faith in Jesus Christ. Tom graduated from Lakehead University, and also studied briefly at Calvin Theological Seminary. After some semester and a lengthy internship, he decided that God was not calling him to full time ministry at that time. Although he did not feel called to full time ministry, Tom continues to preach at churches within the Classis as a lay preacher and also with the Stratford CRC Youth Group. Tom has been blessed with a loving wife, Gabrielle and 3 children Olivia, Silas, and Jake. He has tried many occupations over his lifetime - being a chef, driving trucks, feed sales, dispatcher, and intern pastor. “Who am I and what makes me tic?”

BA210

Building and maintaining relationships is important to me as a mom of five. Over the years, I have continued my education by attending workshops and online courses, all in the hopes of understanding God, myself, and others better. Currently, I preach when asked, drive a school bus route for grade schoolers, and operate a small flower farming business with the motto of “bringing the outside in and healing from the inside out”.
