But I'll take the hand of those who don't know the way, who can't see where they're going. I'll be a personal guide to them, directing them through unknown country. I'll be right there to show them what roads to take, make sure they don't fall into the ditch. These are the things I'll be doing for them - sticking with them, not leaving them for a minute.
What is AOYC 2018 all about?
Our theme is "Here" - taken from God's promise to his people in Isaiah 42.
The concept of Here is spatial. Isaiah 42 reminds us of God's "present-ness", not limited by a certain latitude or longitude, stretching through “unknown country”. The images of wilderness remind us that no matter where we find ourselves, God is and was and will be there.
Topography - the study of the surface of the earth - gives a clue as to the roads and ditches ahead. But better than a map is a guide! God promises to take the hand of those who don’t know the way, offering a constant help in rough terrain, across changing elevation and difficult paths. You'll see topographic maps in the designs for 2018.
